Campfire Conversations
On Monday 24th November 2025 Albert St held their first Campfire Conversation for our ATSI students and their families yesterday afternoon.
All students had the opportunity to prepare afternoon tea for our Kurnai Language and Culture teacher Katie O’Regan.
Our Kurnai Elder, Aunty Linda Mullet, presented an Acknowledgement to Country which she personally wrote from the heart and was illustrated by her daughter Julie, to be permanently displayed in our school.
Katie spoke about our Kurnai program and students proudly displayed their work. There was also a lovely opportunity to spend time to connect with each other in our Yarning Circle. All those attending spoke of a wonderful connecting experience and are looking forward to our next Campfire in 2026.
