Junior School Council

Students at Albert Street are encouraged to use their "student voice" by sharing their opinions and putting forward their ideas. They are provided with a forum to do this through Junior School Council. Each class is represented by students voted by their peers and attend Junior School meetings to discuss their ideas and their fellow students' ideas. Junior School Council is run by the Junior School President and minutes recorded by the secretary. Each month, a Junior School Council representative compiles a report and presents this to School Council at their meeting. Other responsibilities include:

  • attending Junior School Council meetings
  • acting in a respectful manner by listening to others and sharing ideas
  • reporting back to our School Council
  • completion of the Junior Rotary Leadership program for year 6 members
  • encouraging students to put forward their ideas
  • reporting back to their class after meetings
  • assisting at assembly as required
  • fundraising to purchase equipment

For 2023, the Elected Junior School Council President and Vice President are:

  • Burt - President
  • Emily and Isabella - Vice President
